Guest House Motomiya offered a warm welcome, and my stay felt personalized from the moment I arrived. Keiko-san’s hospitality shone through every detail, making me feel right at home. The Japanese-Style Quadruple Room was spacious with a stunning view of the mountains and rice fields. Futon beds, slightly raised off the floor, provided comfort that I truly appreciated after a long day of hiking. Dinner and breakfast were exceptional, showcasing local ingredients and flavors. The cleanliness of the shared shower and toilet facilities was commendable, enhancing the comfort of my stay. The only drawback involved negotiating my luggage on the uphill walk, which could be challenging for some guests. However, the enchanting ambiance, combined with the care put into the meals, truly made it all worthwhile.

great access to parks and historical landmarks for city strolls

the cozy atmosphere made my stay so enjoyable, and it was a quick walk to shimada park and the beautiful magome-juku old official bulletin board, perfect for a weekend wanderer like me.

The host went above and beyond by driving us to the bus station when we were running late and even greeted us with ice cream after a long day of hiking. The sun terrace was a perfect spot to unwind while enjoying the garden view, making it a fantastic place to relax. The only minor hassle was occasionally hearing doors close, but it didn’t take away from the great experience overall! 😊
